Coming Soon: Writing Circle at PrintRoom
A new space for developing fiction.
In spring 2026, PrintRoom will host the Writing Circle, a curated programme for writers working on short, mid-length, or not-yet-fully-figured fiction projects. Every two weeks, five participants will meet for an intensive exchange of drafts, close readings, and sustained conversations. Across eight sessions, the pages will be held and pushed in a room tuned to shared ground and pointed questions.
The Writing Circle is open to writers of all backgrounds and experience levels, with a soft focus on those based in Rotterdam. Projects may enter at any stage, from early outlines to advanced drafts; the programme supports the work as it evolves, with no requirement to complete a full length by the end. The emphasis is on thoughtful development and forward pacing in dialogue with peers.
All work will be shared and discussed in English.
Plus: a guest writer, a compact workshop on publishing, and a collective publication.
Sessions will be moderated by Sofia Topi (content editor, film critic), who will guide the discussions and keep the inevitable chaos productively contained.
The participation seats for the first Writing Circle are now booked. If you’d like to be invited for the next round, please submit your application of interest.
Fee
Participation is set at a contribution of €180; a reduced fee is available to those on a low income. Please get in touch if this applies to you. The fee establishes a shared commitment and provides for the essentials of the programme, including space, a guest writer, and publishing workshop.
